Bank accounts

Collect payroll-ready bank account details with built-in validation, so employees are paid correctly from their first pay run. Employees can split pay across multiple accounts with flexible rules for fixed amounts and percentages.

Bank accounts

What's collected

  • For each account: account name, BSB and account number.
  • How pay is split across accounts, if more than one is allowed.

How pay splitting works

  • Each account gets either a fixed dollar amount or a percentage.
  • Fixed amounts are paid first, in the order the employee sets. Percentages share what's left and must add up to 100%. If there's only one percentage account, it's shown as "the remainder".
  • At least one account must take a percentage, so every dollar of pay has somewhere to go.

Features

  • BSBs are checked against the Australian BSB directory, which is refreshed regularly. The bank's logo and branch are shown so the employee can confirm it.
  • Limit the total number of accounts and how many can be fixed or percentage accounts, through bank_details_configuration on your product. See Dynamically create products.
  • Optionally restrict accounts to specific BSBs. Contact us to set this up.
  • The onboarding session returns bank_accounts with each account's details, branch, order and split.
  • Data is encrypted at rest and never leaves Australian borders.

Coming soon

  • Confirmation of payee integration for certainty on payroll payments.
  • Inline bank account origination.
